About

Quoting from Suwung: The Science of Truth by Dewantoro (2022: 281), the dark side is any form of mental injury or psychological trauma in humans. Every psychological trauma has different feelings and are generally negative feelings. Examples of negative feelings are emotions in the form of anger, disappointment, resentment, and sadness that are held back or not conveyed. This collection of negative emotions can form the dark side of humans. However, not all humans realize the dark side that exists in themselves. Quoting from the mbgmindfulness page (Regan, 2021), on this page, a clinical psychologist named Claire Nicogossian suggests that humans often do not want to admit, identify, or embrace this side. Even though every human being has the choice to embrace it. Based on a brief explanation of the definition of the dark side, everyone can understand that humans can have a dark side. This is because, as psychic beings, humans can experience psychological trauma.

Thus it can also be understood that having a dark side is not a disgrace or a taboo condition because it can happen to every human being. If you have a dark side, you can make efforts to embrace it. Based on the brief explanation above, it can be understood that the dark side is something that can happen to every human being. The task of humans as individuals is to try to embrace it and make peace with it so that life becomes calmer. The dark side is a part of us that is often overlooked, whether consciously or unconsciously. Like the analogy of dark conditions, the dark side of humans is generally invisible so many people don't really care. But in reality, the dark side of humans can appear and remain visible. The reason is, the dark side can be formed from a collection of negative emotions in humans so that it has the possibility to emerge and appear to the surface.
